| January 24th, 2010 Hello Great Shimiji Federation, Lion Heart has done a fantastic job creating a 2009 year in review Smoke Signal. CLICK HERE to see it in color. Rain, rain go away! We are very excited and looking forward to the Induction Ceremony on Saturday, February 6th. This should be an event to remember as we are inducted into the Y-Indian Guide Program. Tribes and members may change their names at this time is they chose. Be sure to let Stacey know in advance of the ceremony. Baby Cheetah has been busy selling tickets to the pancake breakfast on February 6th. He is determined to sell enough to be able to attend Winter Camp for free! Be sure to pick up your tickets at the YMCA front desk. All tickets must be sold and money returned to the Y by January 27th. Other news: We have updated our federation name to: SIMI VALLEY SHIMIJI FEDERATION. Shimiji means Little White Cloud. History Books of the city of Simi Valley say that people looked forward to seeing little puffs of white clouds travel between the hills of Simi Valley. At our next Longhouse meeting on February 11th, members in attendance will learn about our new and exciting bead awards and new patches. The federation council hopes to see many in attendance.
